I don't know if our taste buds ever go back to normal, Michelle (re: eggs tasting like metal)...I would hope so. I'm 17 months out and mine still don't seem fully back to normal to me.

After playing phone tag for the last couple of days, I finally got to talk to Michelle. She's doing great and outside of a little pain at the hospital, she hasn't had any problems with pain or eating. She already lost 15 pounds at her first post-op appointment. She'll be back on the boards in a week or so, so give her some love to welcome her back!
