Hey out there,

Well, I am 7 wks out arm/thigh lift. Healing great. My arms are great, I can almost lift over my head. Sometimes I feel a small "pulling" so I quickly put them down.
I think I will be happy once the scars fade.
My thighs, thats another story. I know they look tons better. Especially in the front. No more hanging skin, but the back, still lumpy, and big. I guess I am just not ment to have small legs. My PS says that in time and excerise, I will be happy. Lets hope so. I did have one small opening in the lower leg. This happend about 2wks post op. I was putting on my tennis shoe, and put my leg up on the other leg to tie the shoe, I felt it. Sharp pain, and the opening.
Not a big deal. It has almost healed up fine.

Well, went for my 2 wks po visit with Dr Rumalla. He took out the stitches except for my arm pits and groin. He said they would need to stay in for another 2 wks.
Said I could start walking 1/2 mile twice day, and or ride the stationary bike.
I feel great!

Well on 1-7-09 I had arm lift/thigh lift and lipo to outter thighs.
I did well, 5 hour surgery, and one night in the hosp. Same Dr, Dr Rumalla.
I have to say this was much easer than the LBL, but different. I can't move my arms above my head. The first few days could not move them much at all. DH had to brush my teeth, and pretty much do everything for me. But as the days go by, I get more mobil. taking a week and half off work, and hoping I will be back next week.
Only taking the pain meds at night so I can sleep. I still have to sleep on my back, and I am not a back sleeper. So after about a month things should be normal again.

I will post pictures when I get back to work.

WOW, has it been that long since I posted?
Times flys.
Well, hard to believe, but its been 12 weeks since my LBL/BL.
I feel great. No problems to speak of.
Well, last week, I felt a sharp sting pain under my lt breast, and the next day, I looked and had a small sore. Well as the week went by, it got more painful, so went to see the PS. He said I was spitting stich and my skin grew over it. So he had to dig it out. ouch. he started me on more antibotics and I feel better.
All in all I am very happy with my results. and do it again in a heart beat.

Well, what an exciting week I have had. 
I had my LBL/BL/lippo to inner thigs on June 18th. Also had hernia repair. They found I had several 4-5 so the surgery took 2 hours longer. 
I was doing well, cather IV out. Well, my drain tubes started to fill up very fast after just getting emptyed. Long story short I was bleeding out. Had to go back to the OR to stop the bleeding. 
Well, 3 hours later, and opening me up all the way around, they could not find the bleed. My body had already clotted and stopped bleeding. 
And then my blood levels went down lower that normal, so I had 3 units of blood. 
3 extra nights in the hospital. 
all in all, I am doing very well, and getting stronger every day. 
I feel so blessed that I have my family and friends and OH friends praying for my recovery. 
I love my tummy, or lack of it. And can't wait to be swell free. I will post some pics but I am swollen.

Well, I only have 2 days before my big transformation. Yeepee!!!!
I have been having trouble sleeping, since PS took me off the medication that keeps me asleep.
Well, yesterday went to church, I have never been much of a church goes, but that is changing too. 
Anyhoo, I went down to the front where you can go for prayer, this nice couple took my hands and ask what I needed prayer for, I told them I was having surgery Wed. They started praying with me/for me/out loud. I cried.
After, I felt at peace with everything. That is the only way I know how to explain it. 
I am ready! except for packing my bag for my hospital stay. 
Had the family all over yesterday for hubby's birthday/father's day. 
it was lots of fun. got to chase after my 5yr old grandson, knowing I will not be able to do that for a while.
Everyone got there assignments on when to help out, and such.
I even took both mother-n-laws in the bedroom and bared it all so they could see the real picture. I think I put them in shock.
Then, hubby and I had a nice quite "night" together. 
So the next time you hear from me, I will be the new me. 
I will upload the before pictures today, man, they are gross.

Well, after much going back and forth, I have a date.
My transformation will take place on June 18th. I will be at Kindred Hospital in Ft. Worth. 
Dr Rumalla said I would have to stay in hospital 2 night. I will have a on Q pump for the pain. these 2 things were a must.
I am so excited and nervous at the same time. 
I met a real nice lady on this board, Vivian, she is the one who reccomended Dr R to me. 
Thru her, I met Deanna, her same surgery is on Monday May 19th. 

We will go to see her, and maybe I can look at her stuff.

Husband still not on board with this PS. He says he loves me just like I am. Well, I don't. 
Guess who won the battle?? ME!!!!

Well, I have been looking on the PS side of this wonderful web site.
I started in Jan 08 just looking and getting some ideas about what I wanted and NEEDED to have done to complete the journey.

I went to 3 consults with PS. Dr Kasden, Dr Rumalla, Dr Lavine.
I really liked Dr Rumalla the best. He seems so caring, and spent lots of time with me. 
My husband went with me on this consult. Man, you have to bare it all in front of him.
He had not seen me naked in forever. I always cover the mid section when we are together. Never shower with the man. 
He has been very understanding. 
I lost over 100 lbs but never felt like I looked so great. Always had the apron hanging down, covering Miss Kitty.
My thighs thats another story. they looked horrible.
After speaking to Dr Rumalla, he said he could not do the LBL and thigh lift at the same time due to the blook supply.
So, I will have the LBL/and BL and lipo to the inner thighs for now.
I have gotten so much information from this board, I don't know what I would have done without it.
