Well, it’s official! You’re on the losing side. The trumpets are blaring, the cymbals are crashing and the drums are drumming – all for YOU! I hope that all went well for you! You’ve been out of surgery now almost 2 months – YIPPIE!!! Your journey will have moments to “pause” – I’d like to impart some words of wisdom for when it does occur - remember these wise words whispered by Confucius – “It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.” Be patient. You didn’t put it on over night, it won’t come off over night (DARN IT!)… RNY 10/31/03 – down 82 pounds!!! Good luck!

It's Sunday 2/8. I had my surgery Thursday. I practically begged the Doctor Standing in today to let me come home - he did!! I'm still very sore, on pain killers, but will make it. I now have an 11 1/2" staple line vertically, but it should shrink as I do. I'm praying recovery will be speedy and without complications. I rushed exiting the hospital, as my Dr. wanted me to stay a couple more days. I had problems with a couple of the nurses not wanting to give me my heart meds until 6hrs after due, etc!! Just minor things!! I figured my husband and kids can take care of me better than some of the staff. (Some were real professionals, the the few who weren't left a bad taste), Thanks for all your prayers. I've been praying for everyone in whatever stage you are also. Thanks & God's Blessings!! Beth

WED 2/4 1:40PM: I LEAVE FOR THE HOSPITAL IN LESS THAN AN HOUR. WILL SPEND THE NIGHT IN A HOTEL NEXT TO THE HOSPITAL, AND BE WELL RESTED SO WILL BE READY BRIGHT AND EARLY IN THE MORNING. SURGERY IS 2/5 @ 10:45AM. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR WELL WISHES AND PRAYERS. WILL KEEP YOU POSTED ON PROGRESS WHEN I GET OUT OF THE HOSPITAL - HOPEFULLY SUNDAY. GOD'S BLESSINGS TO YOU ALSO!! BETH STEVENS
