Hi again! WELL IT'S BEEN A LITTLE OVER 3 YEARS SINCE MY SURGERY. I AM STILL IN A SIZE 8 OR 9 BUT I HAVE SLOWLY GAINED BACK 20 POUNDS. I GOT DOWN TO 165 POUNDS AND WHEN I WENT TO THE DOCTOR YESTERDAY, I WEIGHED IN AT 185. IT WAS DISCOURAGING. I HAVE GONE THROUGH SO MUCH THAT I DON'T EVER WANT TO GO BACK. IT SEEMS LIKE I AM CONSTANTLY HUNGARY. I WENT TO THE WEIGHT DOCTOR 2 DAYS AGO TO TRY TO STOP IT FROM CREEPING BACK UP ON ME. HE GAVE ME AN APPETITE SUPPRESSENT AND SO FAR IT HAS WORKED REALLY WELL. i HAVE LOST 5 POUNDS IN 2 DAYS..ALL WATER BUT WHO CARES....I AM GONNA START EXCERCISING TODAY AND TRY TO GET A HANDLE ON THIS. I WAS CURIOUS TO SEE IF THERE ARE OTHER PEOPLE THAT FIND YOUR CONSTANTLY HUNGARY. I STILL CAN'T EAT A HUGE AMOUNT BUT I FEEL HUNGARY...LIKE I'M STARVIN WITHIN A VERY SHORT TIME AFTER I EAT. IS ANYONE HAS ANY GOOD TIPS, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. GOD BLESS JOY

Well it's been about a year and a half now. I ahd my tummy tuck and I am getting ready to go in again on March 10th and have it revised. The doctor didn't take off enough skin. A very important thing to be sure and get clear with your doctor is about the extra skin on the top of your private. You have a lot of extra skin there also. I asked several times and thought I had made it perfectly clear that I wanted that area addressed and was assured it would be. I have 2 friends that have gone through the bypass and tummy tucks and one has had the revision and one is fixing to have it. Both were left with to much skin in that area. The bad part is that I am having to pay an additional $1,200.00 for the "revision" with Dr. Greg Ratliff. To me a revision is something you would like to change volentarily..this I have to do because having a flat tummy is great but the extra skin makes my cloths fit funny. Seems to me there shouldn't be any charge because if he had done it right in the first place I wouldn't have to be going through this again. I don't think I would recomend him or would I go to him again for any other surgery. He was an hour and a half late for my surgery..I was already prepped and in the surgery holding area when he called and said he would be running about an hour late. They had to wheel me back down to my room and wait for him to get there. Then after the surgery I got a real bad infection. My sister was on the way to the hospital on a Sunday night and called to have him meet us there. I was so sick with the infection, I had to be loaded in the car. He refused to come. Said if I went , he would just meet me there in the morning. He told my sister to just bring me in the office in the morning. Come to find out there was so much infection, when he poked a tube in, it shot across the room. That night I filled up 13 of the drain tubes with pus. You could push on my belly and watch it come out. I was awful.Even the doctor acted suprised when he saw it. Thought maybe I had a abcess..he put me on 1500 miligrams of cipro...and I eventually got better. Now life is good. I still wear a size 8 but my tummy is flat and thats the cool part. I have lost a total of 148 pounds and haven't lost anymore in a long time. I am lucky and I can eat ANYTHING! Just not alot of it. Pretty much I am feeling GREAT! Wouldn't change any of my decisions..it has improved my life 100%. K...Tata for now. Joy

Just had to say CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! I am so jealous. My date is August 21st and I pray that I will be as successful as you have! Good luck with the tummy tuck!!

Well Hi There Again! I just thought I'd update ya on the latest... I am having my tummy tuck done in 15 days( July 21st,03). I am pretty scared because everyone says it hurts real bad ...but I'm ready.I have lost 135 pounds so far. My weight loss has slowed way, way down. Some months I can eat really good and others I can just eat like a bird. I am wearing a size 8 or a 10 depending on how they are made.I am hoping this tummy tuck will take me down a size or two. I have alot of extra skin so I really need it. At this point, if I never lose another pound...I am happy with the way I am. This time last year I would have given anything to be where I'm at now. I am not to skinny, I think I look healthy. The next thing to go will be these darn gobblers on my arms...eweee. Then .....NEW TA TA's!!!! I'm so excited!!!! I'll keep ya posted. God Bless... Joy

Hello again! Well I am now 9 1/2 months out from surgery. I have lost 135 pounds and am wearing a size 10-8. The 10's are comfy and the 8's look damn good but I have to suffer a little. I just found out yesterday that my tummy tuck has been approved!!!! I will be having it sometime within the next 3 weeks. I am so excited...I haven't had a flat tummy since I had my daughter when I was 15. This is soo cool... I feel better than I have in such a long time. I am enjoying being free.I will keep ya posted on how the tummy tuck thing goes.. God Bless....... Joy

Well Howdy Folks! It's me again with the latest on my journey. I am about 6 and a half months out from surgery and I have lost a total of 116 pounds. Although the weight loss has slowed down some...it is steadily still comming off. I have another 42 pounds to go before I make my appointments for my tummy tuck and Boob job... I am really working hard at pushing the last part of the weight off. I have started walking everynight and doing sit ups and leg lifts to tone my tummy as much as possible. I have gone from a VERY tight size 24 to a size 12 juniors...I couldn't believe it ..I just kept sayin' to my self....NO WAY!!! This butt ain't goin into a size 12!!!!! But it did and it feel SO GREAT!!! I can't even find the words to say how grateful I am to Dr. Gorospe. He has given me my life back. This is the best thing I have ever done for myself. Well Howdy Folks! :o) I am now a little over 4 and a half months out and I have lost a whoppin' 103 pounds! I feel better than I have felt in a long long time. I still have 60 more pounds to go before I make my appointment to get my tummy tuck and my new Pamela Anderson boobies....heeheehee. I am so lookin forward to the future...this is GREAT! I can play with my daughter...boy was she supprised to see me do a flip on the trampoline hahaha! I am just kickin' back and enjoyin' it all. I'll keep ya posted... God Bless! Joy
