Hello all,

I hit 169 on my scale this AM and am super ecstatic. I am amazed at how far I have come with the life changing process. I want to say thanks to all of you on Obesityhelp.com.  This site is wonderful and the people on her are more than wonderful. This site and encouraging words have been so helpful in this journey.

Well six months flew by fast.   It has been a journey, I must say.   I am down almost 65 pounds.  Whoohoo. No more blood pressure medicine and no more knee pain.  Now I must get working on these flabby legs. heheh. That is okay.  I hit forty this year and do feel better than I thought I would. I am so glad I got the VSG and made a positive change in my life for my health.  Now to quit smoking.I am still on 2-3 cigarettes a day. Hey, nobody is perfect.  Got to get motivated to excercise. Especially now that is is cooling off, or might cool off in the south.

My family has also gotten on board about watching what they eat. So, this exoperience has been a positive one for us all.  They still laugh at how little food I put on my plate at dinner. Like a 1/4 burger with no sides, no buns, and grilled onions.
My seven year old looks like she eats a ton of food on the side of me.

My hubby even switched to coke zero, the last time we went to the store.

I have been blessed to have no complications. Thank you Lord.

Well tha pain isn't any worse than I expected. Mostly have stabbing gas pains and just a tender belly from surgery. So far no nausea and able to tolerate clear liquids fine. Must sip, sip, sip. I do get gas cramps when sipping though. Happy to be home with my family. Hope they can put up with my grumpiness in pain. So far had one WTF moment about chopping up my stomach. But I know I will have much success with this body and lifestyle makeover.

Surgery tomorrow. Doesn't feel real. Busy shopping for supplements.
Don't know what to even buy.

Ok, Surgery set for March14th. I have to admit I am nervous. Only because this is going to be a lot of work.  But I will get through it.  Also I can't post a profile pic. Ughhh. It keeps telling me my pic is too large!  Haha, the size of the file! Not me!

I am doing lots of reading up on dietary restrictions. I tasted a Gladiator smoothie from Smoothie King.
It was good, amazingly. I also hear there are small high protein shots at GNC. So I am prepping.
 
My silly husband keeps saying, "We need to go eat here and there before your surgery". I am so NOT thinking in those terms. He is acting like I will never be able to eat again. I am sooooo looking forward to my knees not hurting when I drop some of this weight.
