Merrry Christmas! JESUS is the REASON!

Dec 22, 2008

Well, it has almost been 6 months since I have had this wonderful surgery.  I saw my surgeon last Thursday and I have lost a total of 90 pounds, he wants me to lose 46 more in the next 6 months.  All is going well, my hair is still coming out however that is slowing down now.  I am loving all the compliments that I am getting.  I had someone come in to my office that I have not seen since right before my surgery and she could not believe that it was me.  It feels good to get the recognition because sometimes I do not feel like I am different, of course I can tell by the smaller clothes that I can fit into now.  I just bought a shirt from Wal-mart on Saturday that was a size 16-18, I USED to wear 26-28.  That is a major WOW for me.  I can see that I have a shape not just round all the way around.  I really need to start working out again, I have just been so lazy!  I have so many excuses to not go, but I am going to make a commitment to start on Friday.  I have to work today and that is it for the week.  I thank GOD for giving me this second chance of life with my kids, they are the most important thing to me, I give GOD all the Glory for giving me such awesome kids.

Well, Merry Christmas and the next time I post I WILL be down 100 pounds!

Praise GOD it has been 2 months since I had my surgery.  I have had a lot of WOW moments!  I have lost a total of 56 pounds and two pants sizes and 3 shirt sizes.  I have been getting soooo many compliments, it has been so much fun.  I have been meeting with my trainer for a week now, and walking around Quail Lake everyday.  Having this tool is something that I am so glad I have.  I go back to see my nutritionist on Sept. 4th and my surgeon on Sept. 25 for my 3 month appointment.  I know my Dr. is going to be so proud of my accomplishments this far.  It will be time to go shopping soon, I am trying to hold out as long as possible, I did buy some clothes that were smaller before I had the surgery anticipating that it would not be too long before I would be in them.  God bless all that have stopped by to read my profile.
Much love in Christ,  Rosemarie

I had the best experience at the hospital, I had NO pain except for the day of surgery.  It is all due to a praying church that I have had NO complications at all during this whole experience.  I had the best care at the hospital and I have the absolute best surgeon.  As of 11 days out I have lost a total of 20 pounds since surgery, and 30 pounds since I started the liquid diet.   I have not had any issues at all, no vomiting, no dumping nothing.  I am so blessed.  The only issue I have is I need to walk more.  I went swimming the other day and got burned badly and have been in alot of pain since then, I have had a hard time sleeping due to my burn only.  So, needless to say my walking has not happened much.  Until I have more WOW moments.

Oh my goodness, I cannot believe it.  So, I have to be at Penrose at 6:00 am Monday morning, my surgery is scheduled for 7:30 am.  I am so excited to get this surgery. Thank you for the thoughts and prayers, I really appreciate it.  I have been on a liqued diet since a week ago Tuesday.  And it really has not been that bad.  When I went to my pre-op thursday I lost 9 pounds.  Anyways, I cannot wait to lose more.  I will update you after surgery.

My story

May 31, 2008

Well, it has taken me awhile to start up this whole website but here we go.  My name is Rosemarie and I am 38 yrs old.  I have been overweight since about 12 yrs old.  I am a proud parent of four beautiful children Brianna 17, EJ 16, Elijah 7 and Malachi 4.  I have been Divorced for 7 yrs.  My life revolves around raising my children in a Godly home.  God means everything to me.  I trust God that he will bring me through this surgery.  I know that if God will bring me to it he will bring me through it.  I have had to lean on GOD alot, he is my strength.

I have decided to have this surgery not because I have health problems THANK GOD I do not have any health problems.  I am doing this surgery for myself and for my children,  I am a single parent and I need to be around for all of my children.  My parents have alot of health issues and as genetics go, I would get them eventually.  Praise God for this second chance at life,  I am going to use this tool to be a healthy, beautiful woman.

Ok, well I started this whole process back in July of 07, when I signed up to get insurance through my job.  I looked into getting Gastric bypass and resourced what my insurance company wanted done.  So, I started seeing a doctor for 6 months, he put me on Phentamine and I lost about 18 pounds.  Then the medicine raised my blood pressure so my doctor took me off of it.  I have sinced gained back 10 pounds.  I got my approval letter May 27th.  I ran it to my surgeons office to set up my review appt and get my surgery scheduled.  My review appt was yesterday May 30th, and we decided on June 30th as my surgery date.  I will go on a 13 day liqued diet.  I will have my Pre-op appt on June 26th.

Keep you updated on new details.
