Good luck on your coming surgery. My prayers are with you, and hoping for an uneventful surgery, and a speedy, painfree recovery. Keep your focus on healing. Make sure you walk, and keep up your breathing exercise. YOU CAN DO THIS! See you on the other side.

Amanda September 11th is indeed our new day. I am excited and anxious just like I think everyone is at this point--but for us September 11th holds much more behind it. May you have God's blessings on 9/11/02 and everyday to follow. Your WLS sister, Barb Decker

Hi Amanda "Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, any one can start from now and make a brand new ending." The admitting is often very difficult." ~ Julia Cameron "The block of granite which was an obstacle in the pathway of the weak becomes a stepping-stone in the pathway of the strong. That block of granite is often nothing more than a decision." ~ Thomas Carlyle "Being yourself is not remaining what you were, or being satisfied with what you are. It is the point of departure." ~ Sydney Harris "I am convinced that attitude is the key to success or failure in almost any of life's endeavors. Your attitude - your perspective, your outlook, how you feel about yourself, how you feel about other people - determines your priorities, your actions, your values. Your attitude determines how you interact with other people and how you interact with yourself." ~ Carolyn Warner "It's never too late to be what you might have been." ~ George Eliot "For every beauty there is an eye somewhere to see it. For every truth there is an ear somewhere to hear it. For every love there is a heart somewhere to receive it." ~ Author Unknown May you always have an Angel by your side. Amanda, It was nice to get your message. Most people are cringing everytime I day 911 for my date, but like you I am looking at it as a date of new life and renewal. Besides that it is my father's birthday and the date always was a positive thing for us until last year. I guess I picked that date to give my father back his birthday and to celebrate my "new" birthday with him too!! Best of luck and my God guide those who are doing your surgery. Keep in touch and let me know how your surgery went. Blessings ;) Nancy Piper
