Hi Mollie, I completely understand your concerns after what my fiancee' Keith continues to struggle with as this is his 105th day in the hospital. If your mom is set on surgery you will probably not be able to change her mind. I would say it is best to support her decision, persuade her to tell your dad, and pray for her total recovery. You might want to have her read some of the "not so good" stories here on AMOS, check out Larry Keith Greenarch (my fiancee') and Wanda Smart. best of luck

Hello to all, I am finally home! Everything went well, a slight bit of pain but nothing too bad. I am looking forward to recovering and kicking back for awhile. To all the preops, the ng tube is not as bad as everyone makes it out to be!

I just got off the phone with Mollie and she sounds great. The liquid lortab that she was given for the pain "tastes like soap" to her so she is trying to get an alternative. She is up and walking and has the NG tube out. When I called she was in the middle of her gourmet supper....apple juice and jello....1/2 ounce of each :o) Her spirits are really up and she thinks she will probably be home sometime Saturday. I am going to call again tomorrow and see how she feels then. I'll let you know how what she says.
