I have been waiting for 3 yrs for this to happen. It is finally here and 2008 is my year to get healthy and fit. I have surgery on Tuesday 3/25. I will update later on progress.

I am having my cardiac clearance by taking a stress test on Monday. After that, we should have smooth sailing. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Until Later, Martha

Dr. Speigal's office called yesterday and I received approval for my surgery. I have to get a cardiac stress test clearance and then get a date!!!! I am on my new journey to a healthy life.

11/11/06 I received notice from Aetna that I have been approved for my Lap Band WLS. 
11/13/06 Called Dr. Naaman's office and scheduled my seminar date for 11/27/06. Amanda was great and trying to help me expedite everything since I was previously with a different doctor's group. I can't use them because they were out of network. No worries though. 
I have told one of my adult sons and wife about the surgery, but havent' figured out how to tell the one that is a doctor and the one that is a personal injury lawyer yet. I hope that they will be as supportive as their oldest brother. 
I will update again after the seminar.
Aetna denied after saying approved. 
Have BCBS PPO now, and am in process of going through same thing again. I am not discouraged. I will prevail. 1st letter to BCBS sent 1/25. They sent back conditions. Working on getting them from my PCP. Will advise soon........................
