100 lbs lost! but....

Well 66 after surgery and 34 from the month before. 
I have however, hit a plateau. I haven't lost a single pound in over 2 months. A little frustrated.

Steri strips fell off. Incisions are tiny. One of them however, looks to have a hair growing out of it. Tried to pluck the bugger with no avail. Sis says it might be one of those melt-away sutures & to leave it alone. Oooops.
On a happier note, glad to get the JP tube out tomorrow. Starting to feel like one of the Borg.

3 Days Post-Op

So I finally had my surgery on 10/16. I was DC'd from the hospital the day after with a J.P. drain. Its freaking me out a little bit as its sticking straight out of my skin. LOL. Still on liquids and all is going well but what's irking me is that my bathroom scale is telling me that I've GAINED 15 lbs! Hmph.

Surgery date delayed :(

I went in for my pre-op appointment yesterday and found out that I had gained 26 lbs in the last 4 months. My surgeon thinks this is from my increased dose of Metformin and possibly the Lantus. Because of this, my August 7 surgery date has been cancelled. I have to lose 13 lbs before it can be rescheduled. Thoroughly bummed out but intent on getting this accomplished soon!

It took less than 24 hours for BCBS to approve me! Clinicals were submitted to them on Thursday, July 5th at 3:30pm
and by 1:00PM on Friday, July 6th, I was approved! My surgery date is August 7, 2012.
I have BCBS/Anthem PPO. I wanted to post this link for other BCBS insureds because I found it absolutely helpful. Its the insurance's company's policy on bariatric surgery.
