Alan Geiss

"Dr. Geiss is a caring, compasionate man. I believe he is genuinely concerned about his patient's wellfare. He takes the time to sit with each person individually and answer all questions. Never once did I feel rushed or afraid to ask him anything. He has a busy practice but each and every member of his team takes that same personal intrest in my care. I like that I got to meet with him on my initial visit to the office instead of after all my pre-op consults were done, and that he was the one answering my questions. I feel this gave me the chance to decide if this was the surgeon I wanted to do my procedure before I got too far along the pre-op path. Dr. Geiss has a wonderful slide show that explains the LapBand procedure beautifully. I really enjoyed watching that and getting his input during the presentation. Dr. Geiss runs a wonderful supportive aftercare program. He has a meeting once a month for both pre and post-ops. It is an informational meeting but much sharing of stories goes on there and Dr. Geiss is there as well to answer any questions or concerns. Then again, once a month there is another meeting just for post-ops. This is conducted by the social worker and nutritionist and it is more of a support group than the informational meeting. Overall I am very pleased that I chose Dr. Geiss as my surgeon. "

Franklin Hospital Medical Center

"The nursing staff was excellent, and they were very intuned to the needs of obese people. the only down side was that they have you stay in the recovery room so they can provide more 1:1 care but you havevery little privacy, it can be noisy at times, and your visitors are limited to 1 every hour for only 10 minutes.
