Its Melissa again, well I have BIG NEWS as of November13th, 2006 I reached my first BIG GOAL I lost 50lbs... SO now from pre surgery I weighed 286, now I weigh 236, It is so exciting for me.... I also went down in my clothes sizes from 5x to a 3x or 2s depends...... Its such a GREAT feeling.... Back for more updates LATER

Hi Everyone.... Its Melissa, just to let all know I'm now down 38lbs from 286lbs to 248lbs, and I feel wonderfull. I have not been doing much excersice but I have been doing good with my foods and I can tolerate most foods but still have trouble with some. Its only 2 1/2 months so I'm still pleased..... Just a quick UPDATE.....

Well IM HOME NOW. Its mIssy. I finally was able to get to my computer and check my emails, Thank you ALL for your Kind Wishes and YES now its time for me, I am doing very well, walked and walked and sipped and sipped. Im feeling GREAT, but its only been 4 days since surgery and I still have to be extra carefull, but i knew that I wanted to ans wer my emails to THANK EVERYONE.......IM A LOSER NOW.... Missy

Woohoo! See all these people came to share their love - I told them you were having surgery!!! I just got home from the hospital. This morning I met my friend Melissa - she was kind of nervous this morning. I got there at 6:30 am (lol yes my eyes were half closed, as were hers I'm sure!!) and I nearly missed her! My mom called down into the recovery room to see if we had missed her - they said when she checked in that the would let me see her for a FEW minutes (I explained the angel situation) and boy did they mean A FEW. She seemed so excited to see me - I felt like a movie star LOL. But I gave her a BIG hug and told her everything would be okay, and then the Doctors kind of kicked my butt out of there! But I knew she was in good hands, so my mom led her dad up to the waiting room. He was a little emotional, but I told him not to worry - she'd be fine! Then a little while later her mom came up and we went on to talk for a LOOOONG time. It was really fun :) It passed the time. We were all wondering how she was doing. So my mom and I walked around the hospital - I wanted to get her a card or something. I bought her the cutest thing ever!!! It is a purple angel bear stuffed animal - to help me watch over her in her journey! I thought it was the cutest thing ever!!! Then we headed back up to the waiting room and we all talked again for a while, Mary had said you wouldn't be done until about 10:30 - so we waited and waited and waited. Finally at 10:15 - we heard you were on your way into the recovery room and you were doing well, you were asking for your mom. That's really great - she sounds very awake! I don't even think my eyes were open in the recovery room!!! But unfortunately I wasn't able to stay and see you - they said you'd only leave the recovery room in 2 or more hours, even then you'd be very groggy and might not be very talkative lol. Our parking meter was running out, so I handed your mom the angel and told her if there is anything that you need - just call me!! WELCOME TO THE LOSER'S BENCH!!!
