Dear Amy......I didn't know what AMOS meant for the longest time either! AMOS stands for Association for Morbid Obesity Support. It's at the top of most of the screens here at this sight. It took me months to ask then when I found out I had to laugh cause it was right in front of me and I never noticed. lol Congratulations on your having a surgery date. God bless! :)

AMY, JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW - I THINK YOU ARE DOING FANTASTIC FOR PRE-OP. I AM ALSO PRE-OP. I DO NOT HAVE A SURGERY DATE YET, BUT I DID MANAGE TO SQUEEZE MY CHUBBY BUTT INTO AN APPOINTMENT, AND I HAVE INSURANCE APPROVAL. I HOWEVER, HAVE NOT LOST ANY WEIGHT. GOSH YOU MUST BE STRONG. GOOD LUCK TO YOU, EMAIL ANY TIME. THE WAITING IS THE WORSE!

AMY~~~You DOOOOOOO have friends here at this site that genuinely care about you hon! We're all one big happy family and when a fellow member is down, we're there to lift you up. Feel free to keep in contact with me anytime! It is good to know that you have friends who understand, can share in your experiences through surgery, etc. Do you have an Angel yet?! Amy, congratulations on your surgery date. I had my surgery at St.Vincents, Carmel on 12/11/01. St.Vincents does a great job in caring for the bariatric patients. Good luck, I know Dr. Inman is good.

Amy: There is a yahoo support group on line for Carmel Hospital patients. I can't remember the exact name, but something like WLS Indianapolis. Do a Yahho search on groups and you should find it. I venture to say you will find your angel in that group. I had surgery at Winona which is the reason I don't use that group myself. Winona has a great 5 year program and I would not trade them for anything. Great surgeons and less time to get a surgery date. Take care and great success in your WLS Journey.
