My VSG surgery date was 5/4/09.  The surgery itself was done at the Naval Hospital in San Diego.  The Naval Hospital has a very good program.  Pre OP and Post Op.  There are classes, physc evaluations and excellent follow through up to and after the the surgery.  My surgeon was DR Bertucci.  The surgery went well except for my pulse remained elevated and remains elevated to today.   Due to the elevated pulse I was kept in the hospital  until Friday  5/8/09. The treatment and the staff were excellent.  Constant care 24 hour care will wear you out and I was very happy to come home and finally get a full night sleep.   Everything has gone well for now, nothing strange has happen.  I have been doing the soft foods diet, protein, jello and some yogurt and I am still hungry.  I tried some sweet potato bisque soup last night and that did the trick.
