Happy 5 Years out to me!!!!!!
Dec 09, 2008
ok so I lied! I am a LIAR! lol Fitday didn't last long.... I don't know for sure what the deal is/was. I guess part of me sees the scale climbing slowly and I feel afraid and like I'm losing control. In turn, I am pretty content with my weight/size outside of not being able to fit in cuter junior size clothes. Where will it take me? I don't know. I do know that at five years out I am 100% sure I did the right thing. I LOVE the changes that WLS allowed me to make both physically and emotionally. I can't believe the night/day differences in my life. The sad fact is that I have done so much more "living" in 5 years then in all of my life since childhood.
for the record....

I have started using Fitday again to keep track of everything that goes in my mouth and set a reasonable goal for weight loss. My journal there is public and can be found at http://fitday.com/fitness/PublicJournals.html?Owner=midnitefyrfly if anyone is interested in what a 4 year post op is eating :)
It's OVER!

That is, it was over after 24 hours :( What a horrible experience! I have head hunger like a mofo and wow it was hard. Pooping liquid fire was not so great either :oP It DID however help reprogram my portion needs a little and give me some perspective on how much I have been eating and how I am going to make better choices. I did not just rapidly gain this extra 30-50 lbs over night... It has taken 2 years of little bad choices building up so I expect it will take some time to get back down. BYE BYE Master Cleanse diet- Hello sensible choices, exercise, and portion control.

I am getting ready to do a body/colon detox! I am starting out slow but hopeful with a 3-10 day goal in sight. I am already doing the lighter soup and raw foods diet and it easier than when I had to do my light days before surgery. I'd like to think that is a reflection of how my diet has changed since pre-wls existence. On the other hand I have gained back a little more than I want and I hope this will reset some of my post-op mentality. Will update often and always willing to answer questions.
I'm back!

I am just finding my way around the "new" OH and can't even believe it has been YEARS since I have had my surgey. I really have no bad news. I am back up to 228, but that is a small cry from 360. I LOVE MY LIFE! I am trying to do some detoxification and reset my body a little so that I can get back on track. I have a little of both- health and cosmetic concerns- but only what I feel is reasonable for someone post-op that is sloooowly gaining.
