I miss my Mother in Law. She was the closest thing to a mother for me. We were best friends....Unfortunately God needed another angel and called upon my Mother in law!

Well things are starting to go really good for me. I have two college degrees--the first in Phlebotomy ( drawing blood) and the second is a paralegal degree. I have been trying to find a job as a phlebotomist. After a ton of interviews, I was unsuccessful at obtaining a job. I really have been depressed because I could not get a job. Well, I applied for a Paralegal position in a town about 20 miles away. I got an interview, and during that interview, the attorney informed me that there will be a position opening at their firm in the town I live in. Well, I got a "thanks but no thanks" letter back from that attorney. At the bottom of that letter, he added a PS....You are still being considered for the position in your town. Anyway, to make a long story short, I got a call for the position in my town, interviewd one day and got the job the same day!!!!!!!

I am super psyched that I got the first paralegal job that I interviewed for and it is only about 5 blocks from home! It is such a blessing! I went today to review the benefits and fine tune all the details. I start work next week!

It is all surreal! I am going from a stay at home mom of four years to a business woman over night! WOW!

Just thought I would share in my glory!

Well, I am beginning to really notice the difference in my body. I have a TON of loose skin on my thighs...YUCK! The weight is comming off. It is slow, but I guess that is better than super fast. I barely eat...I am not hungry. I have a hard time with protien. Meats just feel like a dead weight in my pouch. I CANNOT do protien shakes...they make me gag! I am doing what I can and averaging 50-60 g of protien daily. I get the protien through milk, eggs, cheese, yogurt, and whatever meat I can handle. I am loving learning how to cook healthy. I am really experimenting with my dinners. Today I made Chicken Parmesan, and for lunch I am making a baked fish. I am seeing a chiropracter for my back....it is really out of whack! With loosing the weight everything is becomming more appearant.  Anyway....My journey is going great and I definitely would not change a thing! If I had to do this all over I would!  I just wonder why I didn't do this sooner?!

Wow....its been eight weeks already!!! Where has the time gone? Well I am loving my RNY! I am active, and I can do things now that I could not have done before surgery. I can paint my toenails, I can cross my legs comfortably, I can breathe walking up and down stairs, I can go shopping all day without getting tired, and those were just to name a few. I am also finding clothes in my closet that actually fit and I am not having to lay on the bed to button them or wear a minimizer because my fat is all lumpy! I am loving my new life! I can tell in my face and my waist that I have lost the most. I am still having an issue with protien, but then again who doesn't have that issue?!

WOW! I went to see the doctor today and I had a "WOW" moment. He told me that in three weeks I have lost 21% of my excess weight and that I am doing amazing! Can you believe it....21%? WOW! So far I have lost 50 pounds...that is with the weight I lost pre-op.

Everything is going great. I can now eat anything that I can tolerate, but I wont push it. I am drinking my water all day long....water....water ....water! Trying to stay hydrated. Cant stand Crystal Light anymore...too sweet.

I am moving great and have had no complications!!!

Well, my surgery is one week away. I am experiencing many emotions....happy, excited, scared, nervous, HUNGRY.....

I started my preop liquid diet today, and it is not that bad. It is now 2:30 pm and I am just starting to experience some hunger pains. I despertly want food! I keep telling myself no! I will not give in!

Like I said my surgery is next week Wednesday (12/23). It is scheduled for 7:30 am so I will probably have to be at the hospital by 5 am. Which means I have to leave my house at 3:30 am! Yuck....My poor hubby dont get home from work til 2:30 am so he will not get any sleep before my surgery!

I have been going crazy getting everything done before I go in. I am making sure the house is clean...trying to get all laundry done....and to top it all off, I have to finish Xmas shopping. FUN FUN!

Well, gotta run...going to try and nap away the hunger...HAHA...Talk to you all when I am on the other side!

Well I got approved! It was submitted to my insurance on 10/30/09 and I was approved on 11/6/09!

I will hopefully find out today or tomorrow what my surgery date is! I cant wait to be on the loosing side! My surgery date is 12/23!!!

Hey everyone!

Well all my preop testing is done! The office called me yesterday and told me that my iron and Vit D levels are low, and to start taking these supplements. Next step: they will be submitting to my insurance!!!

I am so nervous and scared the insurance will deny me. I am done being fat, and I am starting to envision the thin person inside me. If the insurance company takes it all away I will be devistated! I need to have this! I just hope and pray they approve....I am praying!

I was hoping to be approved and have surgery by the end of October...hopefully my goals are met! Well going to head to bed, just thought I would update my blog!

Nighty Night!

Well, things are moving along quick and smooth! I met with the surgeon, Dr. Bobby Wu, today and I really enjoyed the visit with him. He was excellent and was very thourough. He treated me like I was important and I really respected that! His staff is very helpful to!

I will attend a support group meeting tomorrow night at Elmbrook, and then all of my preop testing will be done on 9/24/09!!! I can not believe that surgery could be as soon as next month! Crazy how fast these people move!!

I am so excited to get this done! Wish me luck!!!

Hey all....

Well as you all know, today (7/7/09) I was to go for my first part of my psych consult. Well that didn't happen and neither will the second part next week!

I found out today that my isurance hmo does not pay for the clinic i am attending, but does pay for a different clinic. The problem is that the different clinic is not a center of excellence, therefore my insurance will not pay period!

I fought with the clinic today and ended up fighting with insurance and finally got a different hmo. The real big disappointment though was that the new hmo does not take effect until 8-1-09. That means I am delayed AGAIN. I was hoping to have surgery by the end of August, mainly because I start my last semester of college in September, but now that goal is unrealistic! I am completely bummed out! 

After two years of fighting only to get this far really is discouraging me, and I am almost ready to give up and live my life fat! I am beginning to think that I am not meant to have the surgery and that I am meant to be fat! I feel as if I have failed at everything!

Oh well...I am going to fight one more time....I despertly want to be skinny! I just needed to vent....thanks for listening guys!
