"We completed a mastopexy (lifting the breasts with skin reduction), panniculectomy (removal of hanging belly) and liposuction of calves (as prep for skin removal from legs next scheduled surgery). Her office got all the pre-op certifications, and everything was covered by my BCBS-PPO, except the liposuction. She is very professional, caring and sees the whole patient, not just a body part. I highly recommend her. She operates out of both Beaumont Troy (where I had my surgery) and Beaumont Royal Oak. She worked very well with my family doctor, too, and in the middle of the surgery, when she found a hernia that needed repairing, called in a general surgeon who did outstanding work. She is well connected in the community of physicians."

Marek Lutrzykowski

"He looks like Dieter, the euro-techno talkshow host on Schprokets, a SNL skit. And I totally appreciate his down to earth, open, communicative style. He appreciated my sense of humor, which gets worse when I am nervous, and seemed very at home with himself. Julie, his gal Friday, seems quite competent and efficient. The office was fully equipped and he was unhurried, yet, intentional in getting me educated, examined and prepped for what I needed to do next. I attended the aftercare support group, and dislike the largely impersonal nature of it. I would prefer that we have a large meeting and then break off into smaller groups of six to eight. I investigated and interviewed several other physicians and their staff. I had to be sure I had the right surgeon for me, since I will be committing 2 years of my life with this person. I am pretty sure I made the right choice. 55-24-00 I am now 7 days post op. Dr. Lutrzykowski was wonderful. He is a mother hen about compliance, but it is really for our own good. He was brisk, thorough and very informative every step of the way. He provided excellent pain management, didn't "dump" me to the resident physician, but saw me everyday. I feel I did so well because he was trustworthy and I was able to turn myself over to doing exactly what he wanted me to do. I do not feel that way about all physicians. He is very well educated on the psychosocial aspects of morbid obesity, as well as the medical/surgical aspects and a very rationale thinker. I appreciate that in a physician."
