Where to begin ..... always a chunky kid ... to big to be a ballerina. Had to stop the lessons. Despite always feeling huge, I only weighed 120 pounds when I married my fabulous husband in 1976. My first pregnancy in 1979, was my excuse to eat, and eat I did. When I delivered, I had gained a whopping 90 pounds and had ballooned to 210 pounds. But, with hard work I quickly dropped the pounds, returning to my pre-pregnancy weight of 120 and 14 months later with only a 17 pound gain, delivered an 8lb, 14oz baby boy. Somewhere along the line, like maybe in 1986, the thyroid decided to stop working and the weight became harder and harder to keep off. It doesn't help, that admittedly, I am a couch potato. So here I finally am. Married 31 years to the same wonderful man. Two grown children. Seven grandchildren. With spinal stenosis, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, NASH, arthritis, and severe sleep apnea, this is my final hope. I continue to put my faith in God, knowing that He will lead me to where I need to be.
