I suppose you could say I started my weight loss journey back in Septemer of 2006. That's when I first went to the Hamilton Medical Fashion Show in Lafayette LA. I was amazed by the people on stage that had lost so much weight and looked so healthy and happy. I got to talk with Dr. Stevens after the show, and also meet a few of the people that had lost all of their weight. My friend Jen and I decided to go throught this together and made appointments to see Dr. Stevens.
My insurance didn't agree with the Doctor, and I had to go through 6 months of supervised dieting before they would consider approving me. I was approved on May 24, 2007. Yay!! Bridget called to schedule my surgery on May 25th.
After tons of tests and support group meetings I"m finally now on the liquid diet, waiting anxiously for my surgery on June 29th, in less than one week now!
