"She is a very competent surgeon and caring in her manner. The office staff leaves something to be desired. Often she did not have the paperwork she needed and I was left waiting for HOURS in the waiting room or the room waiting to see her. It was like I was forgotten so many times. Her nurse is fairly nice, but is NEVER at her desk for phone calls and sometimes you have to wait more than a day for a return call.rnrnThe only real complaint I have is that after the surgery, I never saw Dr. McCloskey. All of my hospital recovery care was done by a Dr. I had never seen before in my life. I have no idea who this guy was and I had never met him before he was taking care of me post-op. This was never discussed with me and I was extremely surprised to not see my surgeon after surgery at all. This is not to say this man was not competent, because he was. I was just shocked someone else was taking care of me. Also, I spent more time with her students (?) than I did her during the pre-op appointments. rnrnAs far as the time I WAS with Dr. McCloskey, she was clear, informative, addressed how the surgery was to be done, what my aftercare would be both in the hospital and at home, and all the necessary medical information. rnrnI was very comfortable with Dr. McCloskey and just wish she was involved in all aspects of my care more personally.
