Down 30 lbs!!!!!! since surgery date of 6/10/09. It is a happy day! Next goal 210!

17 days post-op and down 25 lbs!!!!! I am so excited!!!

I am excited but very nervous! I want to be healthier and happier with myself so here we go!

My name is Melissa, I am 43 yrs old and I have been overweight most of my life. I have been married for 25 yrs and have 3 sons. I am an RN in a somewhat stressful position with 24/7 on call. Growing up I was always chubby with 2 very slim fit sisters and a mother who has always weighed under 130lbs. Talk about hard! The most difficult has been hearing my mother say "I am just worried about you won't you try to lose some weight". She had me to "diet doctors and in weight watchers since I was 12 yrs old".  I would lose then put it right back on. So here I am with my cholesterol over 200 and my triglycerides extremely high and a family history of  diabetes and heart disease (my dad had a heart attack at 59). So I am ready to do something permanent. I am considering the gastric sleeve. I have my appointment in 2 weeks.
