"My first impression of Dr. Jossart was he seemed very knowledgeable on the subject. He had a good presentation and answered questions from the group. The hours these doctors put in and the distance they travel made me a bit susicious as to whether it was all for money. Over time I came to feel that it was more. I think both he and Dr. Cirangle care about WLS patients and the changes that can come from this procedure. I felt they saw us as people that had tried everything and needed help. They wanted to give us the tool for sucess. As busy as these docs are, I felt a little rushed at one on one appointments. He answered all my ?s. Just felt a little rushed. I had absolutely no probs. No pain, no dumping, nothing negative so there really wasn't much to talk about. The girls in the office are great and are always there to answer questions. Good follow thru and the docs are always available for phone calls. I had a 7 hour drive home and both Dr. Jossart and Dr. Cirange wanted me to stay in the area a week in case of any probs. rnI am certain that my sucess has been due to the competence of Dr. Jossart, information provided by his office staff and my hard work.rnIn my book he is the BEST and i would recommend him highly. I have lost 105lbs!rnP.S. He's also pretty good looking!"
"I HAD A GREAT DR., MY ANESTHESIOLOGIST WAS THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD,THE RECOVERY ROOM STAFF WAS FINE. DANA, THE BARIATRIC COORDINATOR WAS A GREAT HELP AND COMFORT AND I HAD A PRIVATE ROOM. THAT'S ABOUT IT. THE NURSING STAFF WAS NOT SENSITIVE TO THE NEEDS OF AN OVER WEIGHT PERSON. THEY HAD TO GO GET ME A LARGER GOWN. THEY DID NOT RESPOND FOR 15 MINUTES WHEN I RANG FOR THE NURSE. I NEEDED TO GO TO THE BATHROOM. THEY SHOVED ME ON A BED PAN WHICH I SAT ON FOR 45 MINUTES BEFORE ANYONE CAME IN TO GET IT. THEY NEVER GAVE ME FRESH SHEETS-JUST PUT A PAD DOWN. I ASKED THE NURSE IF THEY WERE SHORT HANDED AND SHE SAID NO-1 NURSE FOR EVERY 5 PATIENTS. NO TEAMWORK. NURSES WOULD WALK BY WITHOUT CHECKING THE BEEPING COMING FROM MY EQUIPMENT. THE MOST IMPORTANT INSTRUCTION FROM MY DOCTOR WAS TO WALK, WALK. WALK. BUT THE BATTERY PACK KEPT BEEPING SAYING MY BATTERY WAS DEAD. HAD TO PLUG BACK IN FOR AN HOUR AND TRY AGAIN. I EVIDENTLY DIDN'T LET IT CHARGE ENOUGH AND THE BEEPING STARTED AGAIN. I HAD TO ASK THE NURSE TO CHANGE THE PACK SO I COULD WALK. THE AIDES WERE MUCH MORE ATTENTIVE AND COMPASSIONATE THAN THE NURSES. A NIGHT AND DAY DIFFERENCE IN THE SHIFTS. DAY SHIFT NURSES WERE PLEASANT AND HELPFUL. SWING SHIFT WAS A LITTLE MORE DISTANT AND SEEMED HAVE MORE TO DO THAN PATIENT CARE. AND MY NURSE ON THE NIGHT SHIFT WAS THE WORST I'VE EVER HAD. SHE NEVER BOTHERED TO SAY HI I'M YOUR NURSE ETC. YOU KNOW..THAT HUMAN KINDA INTERACTION. THANK GOD I ONLY HAD TO STAY OVERNITE! VERY DISSAPOINTING THAT BLUE CROSS WOULD MAKE ME GO THIS FAR AWAY FROM HOME TO A HOSPITAL THEY DEEM AS EXPERIENCED WITH WLS. THEY OBVIOUSLY HAVE A DIFFERENT CRITERIA THAN PATIENT CARE. WONDER WHAT THAT COULD BE????"
