Finally had surgery 5/5 at 8:00 in the morning.  Had a small complication during recovery with my heart rate spiking to 130bpm.  Concerned my surgeon enough to keep me in recovery until 4:30 that afternoon.  Then off to my room.  Walking started right away and so did the ice chips finally!  I was so thirsty I thought I was going to perish!

I was discharged last night at 6:00 and home by 8:30PM.  The ride home was rough, but I clutched a pillow to my stomach to minimize the jostling.

Will update a little later.  But I'm happily finished with surgery and on my way to a full recovery!
