Retired Paramedic and Police Officer (hence the name).  Injured in a line-of-duty car wreck in 1995, weight started adding on, since I couldn't work out as much, not that I did much, anyway.  Over the years, as the weight kept adding on, the back never fully healed.  By 2003, I finally retired, then my wife died of cancer.

I found my Sweetie, and have been with her ever since.  She had her bypass in 2009, and her success made me think about getting the Roux-En-Y also.  MY surgery date was 8-18-11.

From an all-time high of about 375 in 2008, I was at 330 at the start of the liquid diet.  Day of surgery, 305, IV fluids raised me to 315 when I was released.  Currently around 275, five weeks after surgery.  Stalled, I think.

I am working out daily, something I haven't done since the police academy, in the late 80's.

Update:  Some slight bounce-back, holding between 240-250, thrilled.  Weight's not moving right now, but the clothes are still getting looser.  Happy as hell with progress.
