My story isn't unlike all the others on this web site. It seems once a person starts dieting, then it is a roller coaster ride for the rest of their life, unless something intervenes, i.e., a lap band. I've been fat and I've been just right, and I've been thin. When you get to be my age, and if you want to live to a ripe old age, something has to be done. I was so grateful that I was able to have this surgery, and it has come out excellent. Now is the "waiting" period of getting to be thin again. It might take me a year. I hope not, because time is of the essence at my age (72). I would maybe like to marry again, but I know there isn't a chance in hades that would happen if I am fat. I'm not saying all men, but most men like a slim woman. Hey, that is just how they're made! I notice most women on this site are married. I have often wondered, were they heavy when they married - or they got that way afterward. I just know I have never had any success in my man-hunting days if I was overweight. I know men can be shallow - anyway the ones that I have met. I will add more to my story as time progresses.
