Okay, folks, here we go....so I'm going to try to update this page at least once a week, if not more, to share my thoughts and feelings about the whole process.
I'm very anxious to talk with Dr. V about my options, even if surgery isn't one of them. I'm also very anxious to hear about my friend's visit, as he and I are on this journey together and he got an appointment first!
If anyone has any thoughts for me, or things they think I should consider asking the Doc, please let me know! Right now, my biggest concern is financing the whole she-bang, because my 2008 insurance isn't so hip to the WLS game. Bummer.
Even so, I've heard countless stories about WLS being the best investment people have ever made, so I can't see a better way to spend the money I've squirreled away into the "Meredith-wants-to-go-to-med-school" fund....unless a miracle occurs and UNC Chapel Hill or ECU gives me a callback. (please, God, please! I still want to lose this third butt cheek, first, though!)
Another workweek is just beginning and I'd better sign off and try to talk myself into it, but check back with me and let me know what you think about financing WLS, going to med school, and my would-be miracle worker of a bariatric surgeon! Thanks!
