Well my name is Beth and I live outside of Dallas in Rowlett, Texas. I am 50 years old, happily married to Mike and I have three kids. ( all fabulous as everyone elses are ;) I had surgery about 8 years ago and it failed. It was called a gastroplasty and the staples came undone and I gained all the weight back and more. It took me a while to get over that and now I am ready to try the RNY and I am committed to following all the rules and not testing my limits. This is too much time and $$ (insurance woudln't cover it) to not give it my best effort. I do not have a support group in town so I am looking to find people to connect with here. I have never been an online group person so this is new to me. But I know I need to surround myself with like minded people so feel free to email me if you want to share ideas and imformation. My surgery is Aug. 22. I just sent to kids off for the fall term at college and my oldest leaves next week for a year in Iraq. So I am hoping to fill the void with this new lifestyle!
