I am 59 years old 5ft tall and 5ft wide. I have been overweight for most of my life, more so after the onset of puberty at age 9.
I married at the age of 17, this year we will celebrate our 42nd anniversary...and they said it wouldn't last.
We spent 20 years 6 months in the Air Force until a heart attack forced him to retire. We spent almost 12 of those years living in Germany.There were also tours to Vietnam and Korea and 5 different states.
We have three children.....all born in Germany.A daughter and two sons. There are also five precious Grandchildren ranging in age from 15 to 3 and a granddaughter wanna be......she is the daughter of our oldest son's girlfriend, we consider her one of the grandkids.
After DH retired we moved back home, the weight has been coming on pretty steadily over the years. It has gotten to the point where i am one step away from being wheelchair bound and i do not want that. DH is getting ready to retire from his current job and i dont want his retirement spent taking care of me.I want to be able to do all the things that he wants to do. He deserves it.I have been a stay at home wife for our entire marriage....i am one of the lucky one's that never had to work.
But mostly I am doing this journey for me. The kids are as raised as they are gonna be,they are 35,35 (not twins...9 months and 8 days apart) and my baby is 27.
The journey this far for me has been relatively easy. the hardest part for me was the waiting to get all the drs.appts.done.Once done I had approval and a date within a week.
