Hi Everyone,
I began researching the sleeve and made my first Dr's appointment in August 2012. I have seen one of my oldest friends succeed with this surgery - it's been almost 2 yrs for her. The more I learned, the more I felt this was right for me too.
I am so excited to move forward with my life's changes! I turn 50 in 2 months. I've had a number of really tough things happen the past 3 years and this feels like just what I need to begin the next 50 years doing what's good for me.
I got heavy many years after the birth of our 2nd child and it just went downhill. I remember what it was like to be thin, feel attractive and be able to move around easier and be a whole lot more active. I can't wait for that again! My husband has supported me all along, but now I feel like I'll finally be able get my true self back again.
I am loving this 9 day liquid diet before surgery because I know this is the start of a much better life. I can't wait!
