I have finally taken a leap of faith and made my first appointment to see the doctor I'm hoping will give me a Gastric Sleeve in the not too distance future. I have a BMI of 40  and am 47 years old as of last Saturday. I have been overweight for my whole adult life and obese and morbidly so for the past 7 years. I am having some doubts as to whether I should be doing this.  Am I doing the right thing in that the operation is irreversible? What if I can't make the lifestyle changes I need to do, will I become  a complete mess?  Are these doubts normal? Please help me go forward with a stronger conviction than " I think it's the right thing to do"
