I am 2 days away from my DS! I am soo ready for this. It seems surreal to say the least! The long journey is about to come to and end, to start a whole new journey!
I appreciate the ppl on OH that I have met and consider friends. The support you get here is amazing! Thanks to you all and on Tuesday, I will join you on the loser's bench with my DS!!  

 

Day 4 of the pre op diet and doing ok. Ist day was TERRIBLE., but each day is a little better. I dont have alot of energy after working all day, but I did manage to get a workout in on my day off!!  Havent done that in quite awhile.

I do have to admit that I do drool sometimes when I see some of the food on TV. ;)    Gotta love that protein soup! (gag)!

Tomorrow, I start the pre-op diet and got "all" my food together for the day... that didnt take long! :)
A little nervous about it, but tons ( no pun intended) of other ppl have done this and survived to talk about it, so I will too!

The next step towards WLS.

I start my pre-op diet next Monday and I am kinda curious how this is all gonna work out.

I have alot of concerns, after reading the boards, about all the vitamin deficiencies and the insufficiencies of some of the Vits.

Anyone got some good, scientific info on what and how much vits I should be taking pre and post DS??
And what's the difference in absorbtion between "dry" and "regular" vitamins?

I got my approval today!!!! Thank God!

Surgery set for Nov 2~

Yay!

well, I called BCN first thing this morning and they said that they have all the information they need and are in process of reviewing it now. They apologized for the letter, stating, the info and the letter must have crossed.
Whatever. I just want my approval.
So, hopefully?? I will hear something soon. I know this really on my heart because now I am dreaming about it.
Just one hurdle to pass then forward!

Ok, so I am so pissed right now.
I called BCN on Thurs to check the status of my approval. "We have all your information and are processing it now"

Today, I get a letter in the mail, dated THURS that they need all my info!!!!!! WTH?
and then they will process it!!
We gave them all the ^@#(%*( @)(I  info 2 times already!!! OMW does anyone know how to do their job anymore???

Now I have to wait till monday, to get ahold of anyone to figure out what the heck is goin on .

Called GHP today to followup on where I am with the Insurance approval and found out that even tho they faxed it to BCN, they never got it. Waited 2 weeks to hear something!! Then I called today and they said that BCN said they would "receive it around 9am". I called GHP back at 1pm to see if it did get there and they couldnt find it in their system!! UGH!
So the nice lady called BCN while I was on the other line and finally found out they did get my info and we are in "pending". So, at least eveything is there.
Now, I wait.
Again.

I have done all the pre-op requirements and now am waiting to hear from the Insurance Co..hopefully will be approved. The waiting is hard. I want this Surgery so bad. I have fully researhed the DS/ VSG and am comfortable with my decision. I have chosen the DS.
