David Harrington

"I had my surgical consult on August 19th, it went relatively well. Dr. Harrington has a Nurse Practitioner working with him. She was very nice. I am kind of frustrated, because I may not be a candidate for surgery. I sometimes have difficulty swallowing liquids (feels as though it gets stuck). There is a test that I will have to have before all the other tests to determine if I'm having esophageal spasms. If I do have these Dr. Harrington will not do the surgery. He says that while is no direct research he suspects that people with this condition are the ones who have the most trouble after surgery. He said that with these spasms most people have severe trouble with reoccuring vomitting. I liked Dr. Harrington when I finally saw him... Waited in the waiting room for 1.5 hours, then sat in the examine and waited not once, but twice. He left once to take a phone call and was gone 30 minutes and then left another time (don't know where) and was gone for another 15-20 minutes. His staff was very apologetic. He was much more thorough than another doctor I'ld seen. So now I am on to the waiting game of insurance, tests, etc... Robin told me that she was certain that my insurance wasn't going to be a problem. (Federal Employee Program-Blue Cross/Blue Shield) For her it was going to be finding the time to get to my paperwork. But she promised to work on it tomorrow. So hopefully I will get that envelope in the mail with all the tests so I get this ball rolling "
