James Madura
"I saw Dr. Madura on 10/13/03. I was orginally scheduled fot surgery on 10/06/03 with Dr. Frantzides. I won't say anything else about that. Lets just say that I got a different feeling with Dr. Madura. He is very warm and nice. Not cocky at all. He assured me that he was not moving and that my surgery won't be cancelled again. He is going to squeeze me in due to reason that bought me to him. I just have to complete a psychiatric evaluation and see his dietician. I don't mind doing these extra things. He wants to know that everything is going to be ok before and after surgery. He does seem like he cares for his patients. And he took his time to talk with me. I didn't feel rushed at all. He was worth the wait. I have faith in him and I am confident that he will get me where I need to be. On a scale from one to ten he is a 8. He didn't get a ten because nobody is perfect. Also he has a assistant named Samantha. She is GREAT!!! She is warm and fuzzy. She makes me feel like I am important and I definately did not feel rushed at all. She is very very busy, but although she is busy she still takes time out to talk to the patients. I had a very POSITIVE experience this time. I know that I gave Dr. Madura a 10. But together him and Sam is way beyond that. They are great and I would reccomend them to anyone!! "

"Dr. Akhtar and his staff are great. I went thru alot of pcp's because no one would help me regarding this surgery or any other type of weight control, until I found Dr. Akhtar. He is an allergist as well as an internist. He really cares about his patients well being and what is best for them. I am so happy to have him on my side. He is the best."

March 04 ..The top pic of me in the red sweater and the bottom one of me in the white blouse is 4.5 months post op. I am 99 pounds down. The pic of me in the dress was taken 10/16/04. I am 11 months post op and down 140 pounds!!!
