WELL IT HAS BEEN ROUGH FOR ME, STILL HARDLY EATING GET FULL WITH ONLY 2 TABLESPOONS OR SO.

I HAVE ONLY LOST 90 LBS AT A STALL AT THIS TIME, MY DR SAID I NEED TO EAT MORE, GET ALL MY PROTEIN IN.

MY INTAKE CONSISTS OF ONLY GREEK YOGURT, REFRIED BEANS, WATER, GATORADE, SOME CRACKERS, OCCASSIONAL SOUP, REFRIED BEANS WITH CHEESE, SOUR CREAM, CHILLI FROM WENDYS, BEAN BURRITO OR HARD TACO. AND PROTEIN SHAKE.

WHAT CAN I DO TO START LOSING AGAIN AND BREAK THIS PLATEAU?????

ON A POSITIVE NOTE, MY SELF ESTEEM IS INCREDIBLE,  I AM WALKING, I DO CROSS MY LEGS COMPLETELY  NOW.

ANYONE HAVE A SUGGESTION ON PROTEINS THAT ARE EAS ON THE STOMACH, I WOULD APPRECIATE IT...

well all the pain was from an infeted site.  they had to open it and drain it. how totally exciting.  having a hard time with food intake.  not loosing  enought weight,   date of surgery n304  on 04/26  now on 05/07 only 295 what is going on with this?

Well surgery went fine, lots of pain on the left side, it reminded me of my c-sec when i got up it burns and i have to hold that side.  somewhat without any energy  i have an appt to go see the surgeon today for the incision on that left side.

 FINALLY AFTER A LONG JOURNEY MY DREAM OF HAVING SUGERY IS SO CLOSE.  MY TENTATIVE DATE IS FOR APRIL
26TH  WITH DR. PAUL WIZMAN IN MARGATE.I AM SO DELIGHTED TO HAVE CHOSEN HIM AS MY DOCTOR HE IS VERY COMPETENT.  HIS OFFICE STAFF IS AMAZING PROFESSIONAL AND VERY COURTEOUS.THEY TOOK CARE OF EVERYTHING I NEEDED DONE, AND NOTIFIED ME EVERY STEP OF THE WAY.


MY CURRENT WEIGHT IS 319   MY GOAL WEIGHT IS ABOUT 160-170  HOPING FOR LESS BUT WILL BE THRILLED WITH
THIS WEIGHT.

 I AM SO EXCITED BUT A LITTLE NERVOUS.  FINALLY AFTER ALL THE YEARS OF WAITING AND TRYING THINGS ARE GOING MY WAY.  THE DOCTORS OFFICE SAID THE INSURANCE HAS 45 DAYS TO RESPOND BUT NORMALLY TAKES 3 DAYS TO 2 WEEKS ONLY WITH VISTA.   THEN SOME LAB WORK AND SCHEDULE THE SURGERY DATE.

WOW.  NOW I NEED TO BUY OPTIFAST SHAKES AND TAKE THEM FOR 2 WEEKS PRIOR TO THE SURGERY TO CLEAN OUT THE LIVER. 

IF ANYONE HAS SUGGESTIONS OF WHERE TO FIND THE SHAKES AT A GOOD PRICE PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

SINCE 2003 AND FOR ONE REASON OR ANOTHER HAS NEVER COME THIS CLOSE.

I STILL HAVE VISTA MEDICAID AND I HAVE DECIDED TO DO MY SURGERY WITH DR. PAUL WIZMAN IN MARGATE.
WENT TO HIS INFORMATION SESSION AND IT WAS GREAT, I FELT RIGHT AWAY THAT HE WAS THE DOCTOR I WANTED FOR MY SURGERY.  THEY GAVE ME A WHOLE PACKED WITH ALL THE INFO I NEEDED TO GET STARTED.

I ALREADY GAVE MY DOCTOR THE SAMPLE LETTER THEY NEED, MADE AN APPT WITH THE CARDIOLOGIST, PULMONOLOGIST, GASTRO, PSYCHOLOGIST, AND NUTRITIONIST OUT OF POCKET.  THEY ARE ALL IN JANUARY SO THE WHOLE PACKET SHOULD BE SUBMITTED TO VISTA BY THE END OF JANUARY.  I AM HOPING THEY APPROVED ME, I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO HAVE THE SURGERY SINCE 2003 AND FOR SOME REASON OR ANOTHER NEVER MATERIALIZED.  NOW I THINK IS THE RIGHT TIME FOR ME.  MY BROTHER JUST HAD SURGERY A WEEK AGO AND HE IS DOING FABULOUS. 

JUST FOR ANYONE IN FLORIDA LOOKING FOR A DOCTOR WHO TAKE MEDICAID  CALL DR JORGE SOSA  IN HIALEAH.

THEY TAKE MEDICAID WITH HMO,  SUCH AS VISTA ETC.  SUPER NICE OFFICE, GREAT INFORMATION SESSION AND

THEY ARE VERY KNOWLEDABLE ABOUT INSURANCE.

I still dont have a job, I now have vista medicaid.  I went today to see Dr Valladares in Hialeah Fl.  He explained the lap band and i was all ready to have that done, however medicaid does not cover that.  Then he explained the slevee and I must say my mind is made up. I always wanted to avoid the intestinal bypass and this seems like a perfect option.
I have a cardiology consult tomorrow and I will ask for my medical records from my pcp to be sent to the surgeon to get the process moving. I also need a letter from the pcp recommeding the surgery. psych evaluation and nutritionist
then just hope to be authorized by insurance.  This has been a long process for me, I have been trying to have this surgery since 2003 when my insurance stopped paying for it.   Long road. I am scared because he went over the death percentage , leaks, etc.. but I am sure the overall benefits outweight the risk.. I am now 46 and 315lbs  I need to be able to feel better and enjoy my daughter.  I hope all goes well this time.

If anyone has any suggestions on diets pre and post as well as general advise or comments I would appreciate them

Here I am still without a job, I no longer have medicaid, and I havent been able to have my surgery as of yet.  I am still home with my mom who has suffered 2 strokes and 2 tia's . still fustrated without a job and angry at myself for not having done something positive in this 11 month's as far as my weight loss is concerned.  I have been eating more than usual since I am home.  My legs and ankle still hurt from the fall I had in January but I am hopeful that things will get better.  I havent been on this site for a long time and I've read the profiles from so many people who are doing so great I hope it could be me sometime in the near future.
