Waiting is tough.

Hi All,
Brief history. I am 48, have been overweight since i began having children at age 22. I was always thin before that. I am now 100 obs. overweight. I , like most of you have lost and gained weight over and over on every possible diet there is. I actually had lap band 3 years ago. lost almost 60 pounds. I loved it and did well until about the year mark and started having severe reflux. It got so bad I couldn't fall asleep even sitting up. They had to do surgery pretty quickly and get it out. Needless to say I was so angry.....so I ate,,,,and ate,,,,and ate. Well that really helped. So 2 years later I gained all that back plus a few. So instead of eating the rest of my life away I have decided to have RNY. Got approved in Dec. through Health Alliance but have to do a 6 month I can change program. Frustrated with that since I had already done a year with the band and was compliant. But I have no other option but to go through it and wait. One of the goals for Health Allliance was to lose 5%. Which is 15 #'s. I have lost 16 to date and am going to keep working until I get a surgery date. My 6 months is up June 15 so I am hoping to have surgery in July. It is so hard being patient. I am so ready to move forward. My body hurts so much, I have controlled high blood pressure, am on the edge of diabetes and am sure have sleep apnea. I just want to feel better and enjoy life. I love reading what people write...it encourages me!!! Thanks to all and I hope the best for all of you.
