Kirby Southall
"Dr. Southall has been my PCP for at least 15 years. I wanted to have WLS in '88, but he forbid the surgeon to do it, as did my therapist. They said I would eat my way through it. And, as mad as that made me, at that time they were most likely right. However, I'm not the same person I was then, and he gave his blessings on my surgery last August, and is very pleased with my progress. I love this doctor. "

"This man advised me to have an affair, he even picked out someone in my past who he thought was a great candidate. I said I couldn't do that. But later, I ended up doing that, not with his chosen candidate, but someone else. Then he immediately told me to cut it off. I guess he just wanted me to get past sexual frustration. He said "you are RIPE for an affair". I believe my next therapist investigated him and possibly reported him. Dr. Correll told me not only was he not supposed to tell anything I said, but I wasn't supposed to tell anything he said."

"I finally met with Dr. Hutcher on Nov.5th. I was very impressed. He said he won't do a lap, because there are too many things that could be wrong inside me that he would not be able to see if he did the lap. I may have a hernia, and if I do he will take care of that at the same time. I felt more sure than ever that this is the right thing for me to do. "

The first pic was taken about 5 minutes before going to the hospital, at 369 pounds. The second about 3-4 months postop, at about 319 pounds, and the third is about 5 months postop, at 285.
