Well I had my first weight and measure at Curves. I have lost a total of 8 inches, and since I have had surgery I have lost a total of 21 inches and 35 lbs. I had my second fill yesterday, I now have 5 cc in my AP Band. Since my first fill I have lost 5 lbs.

Well I haven't posted for a few weeks I thought that I better update my profile. Well good news on my weekly weigh in today my BMI was under 50 for the first time in a long time. That was one of my short term goals. The next is to join a fitness centre, so this afternoon after work I went down and joined Curves. I will start tomorrow after work going and doing their fitness routine. It is nice that I am starting to have more energy to do this type of exercise and it will only help me reach my goal I hope a little quicker. Since my surgery I have lost 15 lbs and since the start I have lost 32 lbs.
Almost 2 weeks post op

Well I am almost 2 weeks post op. I have been out walking almost every nite and feeling really good. I am getting tired of the liquid diet but get to start mushies tomorrow. My first weigh in at the 1 week post op I was down 6 lbs since the morning of surgery. That made me feel just wonderful. I still have restriction with my band and really trying to watch what I eat, counting calories and staying away from refined sugar. I love my lap band and wish that I would have done this years ago.
Leaving tomorrow for my Surgery

Well it is Sunday and I am preparing to leave for Toronto tomorrow. I have everything ready to pack just have to finish washing the clothes so that I will not have to worry about that for a week or so after I return home. We spent yesterday at a Home and Garden Trade Show. We walked around for over 6 hrs. and I can't believe that my legs and knees didn't hurt that bad. I guess the 12 lbs less on my body makes that big of a difference. I was amazed that this morning I woke up and I was only a little bit sore on my feet but after a couple of minutes I felt fine. I can't believe all the people that are calling me and sending messages of encouragement it make me feel loved and cared about. I will try an post before I leave tomorrow if not when I get into Winnipeg at my son's home. I am in for the ride of my life and I can't wait. Thanks again to all the people that have sent words of wisdom and encouragement I will be calling on you for advise after my surgery. God Bless all of you on the wonderful Easter Sunday.
April 4th One Week Away

Well today marks the one week mark until surgery. I have been on the liquid diet for 2 weeks now and down 10 lbs. It is getting hard watching my husband cook his supper and I smell his food. But I know that this journey is for a reason. I have tried hard to keep my hands busy and not to think of food and it helps reading the message board and going in the chatroom talking to people that have the same problems that I face. I want to thank all the friends that I have met on this site for all their support and encouragement. Without them and my family I don't know if I could have made it this far. So thank you all.

Well I have been on the pre op liquid diet for the last 5 days and things are going okay. Hard when everyone around you are snacking while we are watching television, but I was able to resist the chocolates and nuts that they were eating. This morning the scales let me know that it is working as I am now down 6 lbs since starting the diet on Wednesday.

Well I made the first day being on the liquid diet. It wasn't too bad the first shake in the morning was kind of yucky, but at lunch I added Crystal Lite that sure helped with the taste. I have order Da Vinci Sugar Free Syrup in a couple of flavours to give me some different options. I am less than 3 weeks from surgery and getting excited. All I think about is the new beginning that I will be starting on April 11. I want to thank all the members on this site for their support and encouragement they all mean so much to my family and me.

Well I have finished all the pre op testing, everything went fine. Health is good and so I shouldn't have any problems with continuing my surgery plans. Start the liquid diet tomorrow, so we will see how that goes. I can not believe the support that I am receiving on this web site and the friends and family that know that I am having this surgery. This makes the unknown very bearable.
March 17th - Preparing for Surgery

Well next week I start the pre op liquid diet. I have all my doctor physical and blood work done on Tuesday. The surgery is fast approaching and I am looking forward to it. My family are all supporting me and are looking forward to seeing my success, I am going to try hard and not to disappoint them.
