I am 38 years old & am an insulin dependent diabetic. I am hoping to have the vertical sleeve gastrectomy...my insurance plan has a clause that doesn't allow for any weight loss surgeries! Since I was diagnosed with Diabetes over ten years ago, I have gained almost 100 lbs! I feel as if I have tried everything to lose weight but nothing seems to work. I fear for my health...diabetes runs in my family & I have see what the disease is capable of & I just want to be healthy!
