I will be a week out tomorrow, and I feel yucky......
I feel bloated and nauseated (not to the point of vomiting), I even tingle a little all over my body, with a little lightheadedness.

Of course, I can't get the water down hardly at all.  I get about 36oz of just water and by then I think I'll be sick.  I know this surgery was worth it, but sometimes when you feel sick, you wonder....  

Once I get over this feeling, then I'll be doing great and ready to live again.

I see my doctor tomorrow and we'll see what he says..

Well, I finally made it to the operating room and had my surgery without any trouble and now I'm home and healing.  I am so glad it's over now.....

We'll I have to wait and see how things progress for me, but I learned one thing today and that's DON't take your chewable vitamin on an empty stomach, it will hurt...  I have an upset stomach now and trying to get the flluid down it my hard part.

I'm going into St. Luke's at 6:00 AM for my surgery and I'm both nervous and happy.  I guess this time I have had time to think about it, not that I'm having second thoughts, just that I'm having elective surgery.  Soon I'll be a new, thinner me. 

Guess!  Go, ahead and guess what happened!

I didn't get my surgery!  LOL.  I'm alright with it though, because later that night I got sick and still am.  I have a terrible sore throat and cough.  I would have hated to have that after surgery, so it worked out for the best.

Dr. Korn and his staff were so upset that they dissappointed me that I got a big beautiful bouquet of flowers to say they were sorry.  I am scheduled though for the 29th and it's a go this time and I'm his first patient of the day.

I'm happy though and still very excited for the day to arrive.

I'll keep everyone informed as it progresses.

 

I am so very sorry that no one has heard from me.  As some of you may already know (after visiting my hubby's site) that I've been dealing with lots of stress and my brother also died last month, so it's been really rough going for awhile.

My doctor has set the date for my surgery and then had to cancel since my insurance didn't send in their approval in time.  Now, it's set for the 15th and I'm all set to go when the doctor calls again to tell me that he has a mandatory meeting to attend at the hospital and I've been scheduled for May 29  instead.   Hey guess what?  I just got another call from the doctor and he wants me on call anyway, on the 15th (tomorrow).  I have prept all day for this and have to be at the hospital at 9am and hopefully I will get my surgery if all goes well and if not I will keep my surgery date for the 29th.

Pray for me!!!    I don't relish having any of the issues  that  followed Scott after his surgery.  

It helps that I have the utmost trust in my doctor and I know the Lord is going to be in there with us.

Well, I will let everyone know how it all went when I get back.....

Don't let anyone tell you that this surgery is easy.Because it's not.

I have been stressed with taking care of my husband after his open RNY.  His recovery had a few complications, although not surgically related. I'm exhausted.  I now know that this surgery isn't for sissy's nor is it the easy way out of your weight problems.  In fact I think it's the harder way.  Your whole life is changed. You have to be consistant and strong.  I am waiting now for my surgery and I am excited, but I know what I'm in for.
