04/22/2007 To begin with, I can't believe it's been just about 5 years since my surgery, and since I've been here. This whole site has changed! I like to new look. So let's see, as of today, I've lost a total of 124 pounds. As of about a year after surgery I had lost 133 pounds. Basically I stay right in that range -- up and down within 10 pounds; it's been like that right along. My BMI has gone from 44.2 (at the time of surgery), to 21.5 today. I'm extremely happy with the results of the surgery. People ask me all the time if I'm happy and if I would do it again. My answer is, and always has been a resounding YES! One day when I have the time, I will come back and fill in my back story, with everything that happened leading up to my decision to have surgery, as well as everything post-op until now. Good luck to everyone still researching, about to have the surgery, and those post-op...I hope you all get out of this everything you ever wanted. :-)
