January 21, 2007,

It has really been a long time since I have posted.  I had to have a hip replacement in October.  This is the fifth time on the same hip.  I guess that I am really lucky that I had this surgery because the recovery was so much easier with the reduction in weight.  But the weight loss has really, really slowed down and I can no longer exercise like I was.  I was going three times a week to Curves and that was really making a difference in the tone of my body, but will have to wait for a while before I can start doing exercises again.  Don't think it will be Curves though.  Nothing against them, but I need something that I can do at home because I am not able to work yet and the expense is more than I can handle at this time.

I saw the surgeon last week and he was still very satisfied with the progress that I had made.  I am nearly 100 pounds down now and with the exception of the joint problems, I feel very good.  The only problem that I have is bloating and gas.  My oh My.  Some days it is terrible.

Not enough to make me ever regret having this procedure done.  My husband says that if I never lose another pound, I am just fine.  Isn't that sweet?  Love Him!!!

He is happy that I had this done too, but I must admit that I have had so few problems that I would recommend it to anyone.  However, I know this isn't always the case for others.

Need to get another picture posted, but I am not that computer literate.  Will try to get it done though.

For those of you in Kansas, I highly recommend the Tallgrass Surgical Group in Topeka, KS for this procedure.  They are awesome!!!.
