"Overall I would rate Good Sam as a definite Plus for my VSG surgery. Nursing was great and did follow up and all were both professional and had excellent bedside manners. The only negative might be the non coordination of labs, vitals , and BG readings as they were awakening me every hour during the night. I worked in hospitals when I was younger so believe me I can evaluate as both a professional and as a patient. My only real problem was with the accounting department. My surgery was ok'd a month before I came in but they called me the day before. As I needed to travel I was already in San Jose when they called to tell me if I paid up front they would give me a discount. There was no way I could do anything with such short notice since I was not at home. On top of all that the last thing I wanted to worry about was the money less then 24 hours before surgery. It would have been nice to know the amounts ahead of time as well. It was near my educated guess but firm numbers would have been best."
