"The only reason Dr. Resch didn't get all excellent ratings from me really has nothing to do with her but with the health plan, itself.
Dr. Resch is confined to the constraints of Kaiser; thus I will wait for two years before having surgery. There really is nothing she can do about this. She was very considerate and understanding about the procedures she would do if the plan would allow it (breast lift), admitting that while the procedure is medically necessary, the plan won't allow it."
"For a thin man, he appears to know what it feels like to be obese. He truly cares about his patients and will do whatever he can to get you through the process. He sees his patients through from the beginning to... You can't ask for a better advocate."
"While both surgical floors were well prepared for bariatric patients, Intermediate Care was not. If you have surgery at Mercy, pray for no serious complications. Further, make all concerns crystal clear to staff - I have related allergies that they were aware of. My situation could have been prevented."
"My first impression of Dr. Zorn was that he is very knowledgible. And, he should be. He is the Chief Surgeon. I met with him for my consult, and while can't have the closed procedure I had hoped for, I know I'm in excellent hands. His office staff were very helpful. Customer service is key at Pacific Bariatrics. I was expected at each stage of the process. If I had to pick out something negative it would be scheduling. Dr. Zorn said they were scheduling into October when in fact they were scheduling into December. Structured aftercare is in the form of written material and the program that Kaiser has developed in coordination with PB. I'll tell you more as the story unfolds."
