I have been feeling really well. I am now on full solids. I have had a few occasions of "sticking", usually with bread or dry protein. The smaller bites are VERY hard to get used to. I have found that if I eat before I get really hungry I can control my bite size, but if I wait until I am starving to eat that I am shoveling food in my mouth. BAD! The portion sized has greatly increased as I have healed, and I can tell that I am in need of a fill. Thank goodness, my first fill is scheduled in 11 days! I can do this as long as I'm not hungry!!!!!!

I have been feeling well, except for an ache in my left side that is just so annoying. I tried Milk of Magnesia which didn't help the pain at all so I called the dr's office. The nurse said it could be bowels, muscle pain or maybe I'm ovulating. The ache seemed to be better today but it's still not gone. Overall I am less tired then before and definitely have more energy! YEAAHH!

I saw Dr. Kwon on Monday to have staples removed, and most importantly to get weighed in. I lost 8 lbs since surgery! I went back to work today, which was really a good thing. I started to get a little bored at home especially when there is no one around. I needed to do something other then sit home and think about food. I feel great today. Hardly any uncomfortableness at all. I am strictly on 3 protein shakes + 64 oz of water a day. Dr. Kwon said absolutely NOTHING else (except my vitamin and calcium chew). He even told me not to buy the Viactive calcium chews after I finish this package and get something with less calories....He is VERY strict on calories. I am reading on here that other people have included soft foods during week 2 :( Oh well, February 17th can not come soon enough!!!! (I will be able to start on soft food)

OK, Maybe I spoke too soon. Today I was much less active then yesterday, even cancelling plans to get together with friends because I am not feeling great. Last night I had about 24 hours of diarrhea and called our NP. She told me it was ok to take Immodium, so I cut a caplet in half and took 1/2 at a time. The second half seemed to get stuck (?) and I felt it in my chest all night. Today I am just very uncomfortable, but my incisions are starting to itch so I guess that's a good sign of healing. The one major drawback of today.....I CAN'T STOP THINKING ABOUT FOOD. (I even snuck a protein shake) :( Hope tomorrow is better.....

Well, it's been 2 days since surgery. I started out with ice chips and have moved onto sipping crystal lite and diet snapple. I tried some warm herbal tea last ngiht, and it seemed to give me more gas thean I was already having so I threw it out. I am getting more cofortable walking around now but definitely in no shape to leave the house (nevermind the ice). Sitting at the computer is a little uncomfortable....I don't know if it's bruising, staples or the port I feel, but it feels better to sit straight up. I wish I had a laptop that I could use on the couch :) I took a big gulp of snapple last night and felt like I had just eaten 2 pounds of pasta. I hear my stomach rumbling but am not sure if it's hunger or not, although if I thought about it I could definitely eat. OK, just blogging my journey...talk soon.
