Excited
Jul 08, 2012
Excited for so many great things to come - Surgery is just a bit over a month away, OK its a month and 3 weeks but whos counting. Summer if flying by, I have to admit I havent been working very hard on losing the weight I need to before surgery...I realllllyyyyyyy need to work on it and commit myself before surgery. Dr Baranov said between 30 and 50 lbs and 2 months later I have lost 30 but, as pattern dictates I slip. I dont want to risk him changing surgery so I intend to blast thru the next 20 lbs and keep it off until surgery so nothing stands in my way. I have started picking up samples here and there as funds allow- Got a good deal on wellesse multi, sublingual b12, vit d3 and calcium and iron- tried some celebrate vitamins too,so far not loving the syntrax nectars but that could change after sday- also have my matrix mint cookie, click and vitasport se7ven. Would like to get some more little spoons/cups/dishes in 2 and 4 oz sizes so it makes things easier post op- With surgery so close to school starting andcubscouts restarting in October.plus my 4 boys and daycare keeping me busy, I know IM going to be busy and will need to be mindful to stay on track :) Last week of the month I have an appointment every single day(beggining with PreOp assessment the 23rd) for my surgery, labwork, nutritionist, pycsh eval, and a final meeting with the DR-eeeeppp

Hmmm
Apr 29, 2012
Met with dr Baranov last wednesday after my weight loss seminar. He was very direct and to the point(which Ive come to appreciate with dr's ). I have to loss 30-50 lbs, It will mean less time on the table, less risk of complications, easier recovery and it will help me down the path to better eating. He put e on a very restrictive diet- toast/bread with a slice of lunchmeat or an egg for breakfast- and a smart ones type meal(more meat and vegi, less pasta) for lunch and dinner- as many raw veggies as Id like- I learned the first day(thursday) I didnt need butter on the bread(or the massive calories that goes along with it) 3 days and I down 7 lbs already...but sadly Ive cheated a bit each day :< I have to learn to stop eating my feelings!! But its a start and so much better than the (estimating) 3000 plus calories a day I used to eat, Although Dr B said eh thinks I probably ate closer to 10000, who knows??My next appt is June 1st and I am hoping to be down 30 lbs...Is that unrealistic?? I have no idea, Ive never done this before!!
