"I hated it, I couldn't find a way to mix it without tastes the nasty after taste. I'll never try the natural flavors again. I actually returned it. GNC allows you even if it's opened to return it if your not 100% satisfied."
"Overall, I felt comfortable and taken care of. I wouldn't say I was spoiled by any means, I did take care of myself and had my boyfriend with me most of the time to cater to my needs. I may have had a harder time had he not been there. The nursing staff was short, and forgetful. It took a long time for them to respond to simple requests. This was disappointing. They were also not well informed of the needs of a gastric bypass patient. They had no clue how to care for us"
"Dr. Shoap was very kind and caring, I can't say I did much with him though. It was just for medical and cardiac clearance. Very quick and to the point it took about an hour total with a twenty minute office wait and an EKG before I left. The nurse was very sweet and did most of the work really.
He did seem very knowledgable in his field, he had a call come in during my exam and he was giving another doctor advise it seemed. If I ever need a cardiologist I would go to him.

"My first impression of him was, he looked very clean, handsome, and proffessional. My impression after speaking with him for a few minutes got even better. He was very thorough in explaining the procedure to me, and asking me what made me come to this choice. I felt well informed, and think he is extremely copetant.
The office staff! First and formost, I'd like to remark on the first person I talked to on the phone, Linda, Secretary. She was very kind and patient and spoke with me for a lenghty period of time, describing what happens, and what other types of things the doctor does. First call was great!
The nurse, Louis was kind and explained a lot to me before I saw Dr. Ameri, she helps him during surgery. She did emphasize to me several times the importance to remember this is a permanent change.
I can't say there was anything I didn't like about Dr. Ameri, he was great.
Dr. Ameri does spend ample time, without rushing you out the door. You may have to wait, and you will definitly have to be patient getting your insurance info. submitted because of how backed up the paperwork end of it is.
We mostly talked about the actual surgery.
The risks where also outlined by his nurse, mostly in saying that there are risks associated with any surgery. Also, he did make sure to answer my questions about if they had complications during surgery, there is a possibility they may have to do it open. But it is a very slim chance.
I would rate him an 11 on a 1-10 scale. He is highly regarded in his feild by his colleages and he seems very well informed in his specialty of Laproscopic Surgeries. I am very excited about having him do my surgery. I think his bedside manor is excellent and his manner is lovely. I look forward to a long surgeon patient relationship with him. He also does the abdominoplasty that I may want after a year or so out.
I am stating all of this as my own personal opionion and I can't say how someone else's experience may differ. I was generally happy with all aspects of his practice.

"The doctor was there to do his job, and nothing else. He was a kind man, but I have felt this way before. The medical field has certainly become a production line in some cases. I would say that describes him pretty well. In and out! Get the job done. It is just one visit and it is to get an approval only in my eyes. So I will keep my regular therapist, and am greatful it wasn't a hassle."
"Judy is a Consulting Nutrionist that does limited appt. out of her home. She was very accomidating and had a very flexible schedule.
I saw her within a week of my call. I did have to drive about an hour in rush hour traffic, but it was well worth it. She is lovely and understanding. I look forward to seeing her again after my surgery for my follow up nutrition needs."
"She is my Primary Care Doctor, and I have been with her for three years now, I love her, she has seen me through medications and has supported every decision I make about my weight loss, she feels I'm an excellent candidate for surgery, escpecially since she has dealt with me first hand in my failures at maintaining my weight loss. I am lucky to have such a caring doctor on my side, who respects her patients and is forward and candid about her opionions and expertice. She is a true assett to the medical field."
