I started my life a tiny little thing,
full of energy and ideas and far away dreams
I've lived pretty basic, happy I'd say,
had a few major tradgeties that have changed me in some way.
Spent most of my life with one man, who though bull headed and strong,
has loved and cared for me the whole way along.
He's been my back bone, my saviour and confidant as well
I would'nt change my partner, he stands by me still.
My son is the sparkle you see in my smile,
my whole reason for wanting to stay here a while.
He's tiny and beautiful, confident and proud
his blue eyes are Icy, he stands out in a crowd.
He's the best son to have I love him the most, as a mother would say,
but he's mine, no one else's at the end of the day.
Without my Parent's, Sibling's and Joe's family too,
my relative's and  friend's many and few
I'd have nothing in life to make me happy or sad,
angry, excited, scared or mad.
Many things have happened in the course of my life
I've experienced these emotions as a daughter,
sister, friend, mother and wife.
My life has been happy I have no regrets,
It's been pretty normal not many upsets,
but I've lived a great deal of it, in pain,
suffering and struggling because of weight gain.
I know there is risk with the choice I am making,
but I need you to stand by me
and understand the journey I am taking.
When I look at my option's , my quality of life to the end,
I choose this as my goal, my tool, my new friend.
I will treasure it, respect it, love it and make it love me too,
just as I've done with many of you.
With all of this said I do realize,
I'm not going into this with closed up eyes.
My worst fears could happen, admittedly so
but I am not afraid, If God says it is my time to go.
I have loved one's there waiting to hold me tight
as I will do, when you lay down at night.
When a dove coo's a message in the morning dew
know it is me saying "Good Morning" to you,
when Butterflies or Dragonflies pause on your arm,
be gentle it's me I mean you no harm.
So I know you are worried I am too,
but remember this is something I feel I must do.
With a wonderful life I have no regrets,
I have health issues threatening, I'm not willing to face yet.
So keep your head up, think positive thoughts,
It's your support I need now, Not your If's, and's or but's.
And come a year from now when I start a life anew,
a tiny little thing, full of energy too,
with something to celebrate and dreams yet to seek,
I'll smile and thank you for being there, as I kiss your cheek.
 

Just a little excited, went for my info session in Ottawa yesterday. Possibly be having surgery in 3 months, yahoo can't wait!!!

Hey I called Ottawa and found out I am definitly in the queue, I am so happy. They could not tell me when I would get my letter but I will get one is the important thing today. I'm so happy Take care everyone talk to you again soon, Lisa
