Hi all,
Well I have been home since Friday evening. Surgery was Weds late morning. God bless those of you who said you experienced little to no pain. Good news.... its over and Dr Boorse was able to do it Lap. And he is my hero. Hospital stay was less than great. I am 3 days out and still in alot of pain. On a clear liquid diet until my surgeon tells me differently, but I am not anxious in moving forward. At times I have a hard enough time just sipping my broths and juices. I had my first bowel movement this morning very wet of course and no signs of firming up. My incision sites look good no signs of oozing or redness. Alot of pain up under my ribs. They arent kidding when they say they inflate you with air and fluids. My loose clothing was aweful tight coming home and the car ride wasnt pleasant. WE had an hour trip on the way home and I had to cram my big ole body into a back seat of a car..... not easy..... Husband, friends and family are being wonderful with helping me. I am trying to walk as much as I can but seriously just walking to the bathroom kicks my ass. I wanted to get online before now to update but just didnt have the ooomph to do so. I was sent home on Cephalexin (really nasty) and liquid tylenol with codeine and I can tell when that last hour approaches. I am suppose to have the following diet wise. 1/2 cup broth and 1/2 cup juice for breakfast and dinner and the same for lunch except add 1/2 cup of jello. I NEVER can eat the 1/2 cup of anything, just really picking over it. I am not comfortable in any one position for long. So I go from one place to another just trying to get some sleep. Several times I have asked WTF I have done to myself. I know it will get better and that there is an end in sight but jez..... I am ready for it
I wanted to thank everyone for all the support I have gotten, I truely wish I could sit here and say something to you each individually but I just dont have it in me. But I want you ALL to know just how very much you have helped me over the last few months and during this surgery. I will update more as I am feeling better.
