My name is Giovanna and I am 31 years old. I have battled with my weight, since a teenager. When I found out about the Gastric Lap Band, I realized I had a second chance at life. I had the Lap Band surgery June 1, 2005. My top weight was 287, I have lost 100 lbs. so far and I feel great. I feel like I have a new lease on life and I am enjoying every minute of it. I am doing things now that I have always wanted to do, but was always to self-conscience.
I am married and have been for the past 2 1/2 years. I have been with my husband for 12 years. He has been there for me through it all, but I must say it is just as much a life change for him then it is for me.
