Francis W. Teng

"I had my surgery with Dr. Francis W. Teng on 3/17/05. I found him to be absolutely wonderful. He has answered each of my questions fully and respectivley. I enjoy his honest, sometimes humerous bedside manner. I chose Dr. Teng after researching many local surgeons. I had asked several people in the medical field and all highly reccommended Dr. Teng. My primary care physician actually said he would prefer Dr. Teng over any other surgeon to operate on his own child! That spoke volumes. Dr. Teng was refered to me by a nurse who had her WLS by him. I have had no problems with his staff and I found Tina to be a pleasure to deal with. I have only had to call Dr. Teng once, after hours on a Sunday. I called his office and I had a call back with in 10 minutes by Dr. Teng...not a nurse, but he, himself, called me back. Dr. Teng stongly emphasizes after care. I enjoy going to the support meetings. They are fun, informative, and I am meeting new people going through the same things as I am. Dr. Teng went over the risks of surgery, and even on the morning of surgery, being wheeled into the surgery room, he asked, "are you sure you want to go through this? You know the risks, Melody." I would highly reccommend him, only if you want the best."

"I was moved 3 times to different rooms during my stay. The first time I was on floor 3 and it was quite noisy and unable to rest due to noise. Moved to the 4th floor where it was definately quiter. I had one nurse who was extremely nice but also very busy who checked out that she was to give me my pain medicine but forgot to give it to me before her shift change. I was without pain meds for 6 hrs, and this was on my 2nd day, so I was in pain still. There was a nurse assistant named Pam that was the best! She took care of me as if I was her own family. I give big props to Pam!"
